This session will focus on the private-public partnership between the Kamehameha Schools and Hawaii Department of Education in the Nanakuli-Waianae Complex Area. The work is centered around the turnaround efforts to break the cycle of poverty and to disrupt the prison pipeline in this high poverty community. The goal is to develop a thriving community through creating opportunities for schools, students, families and organizations to partner in a variety of ways to give HOPE for success.
