This hands on, interactive session will support participants in accomplishing the following objectives:
-Learn about the Boston Public Schools’ (BPS) partnership landscape and the strengths and challenges that it presents
-Discover the way BPS -shifted its Partnership Landscape to increase access, equity and quality
-Gain an understanding of three distinct strategies BPS implemented to make this shift and the ways they could be applied to your own district
-Hear from others about their approaches to making similar values-driven shifts
The session will accomplish these objectives by leading participants through an interactive activity that helps them to understand the Partnership Landscape within the district. It will then walk participants through three tangible steps BPS took towards increasing access, equity and quality within this landscape, while also allowing time for participants to share their own experiences. Participants will walk away with tools to support them in measuring quality of partnerships, a system to manage partnerships, and a strategy to make similar shifts within their own district.
